The Chainsmokers took to Twitter over the weekend to hint at the possibility of being the musical guests for a Project X style party in California. The duo used the social media site to tease their interest in an LA based event scheduled for later this month, and the prospect has fans excited.

For those who aren’t familiar with the concept, Project X was a 2012 film that centered around three guys who plan to leverage a massive party into catapulting them to popularity. Things quickly get out of hand of course, and the boys wind up throwing an out of control party that results in the neighborhood burning down.

The event, titled Project X: Los Angeles , is set to go down in Malibu, California on July 22, and is being hosted by someone known as “White Rabbit.” According to the Facebook post, their parents are out of town, leading to the perfect set up for a mansion based party that is set to feature five DJ booths, over twenty bars, a luxury pool and maybe even The Chainsmokers. What could possibly go wrong?

You can check out the event page for more details.
