Following up on his remix of John Legend’s “All Of Me” in 2014, Tiësto is once again collaborating with the R&B vocalist on the new single “Summer Nights.” For their latest song, Tiësto and Legend craft an upbeat summer anthem with swanky vocals and dance floor ready rhythms.
Tiësto is careful to cultivate a production that is centered around Legend’s soulful tenor here, which serves as the song’s focal point. Though “Summer Nights” features a club-friendly production courtesy of the Dutch producer, the song works equally as well off the dance floor. The sound is upbeat and warm, fitting the summer love theme present in the lyrics.
Talking about “Summer Nights”, Tiësto said “this record is definitely a bit of a musical departure for me but it was important to us that the end result really emphasize John’s funky soul vibe.”
Considering the two musical powerhouses behind it, the new single is definitely bound to get some heavy plays over the course of the summer.
