Watch The Chainsmokers Crush Their Live Performance Of Roses

Having DJs perform on live television is a trend that’s becoming more and more popular lately. NYC-based duo The Chainsmokers are no stranger to this, as they appeared on American Idol several years ago to perform “#SELFIE.” Unfortunately, it didn’t go down too well and led to some pretty harsh backlash from the EDM community.

Last night, however, Alex Pall and Drew Taggart more than redeemed themselves with an excellent live version of their hit single “Roses.” Taking to The Late Late Show With James Corden, the boys brought along singer Rozes, two back up vocalists, and even their own live setups. Furthermore, Drew hopped in several times to lend his voice to the bridge, which was a pleasant surprise.

While The Chainsmokers certainly aren’t the first EDM artists to pull off an impressive live television performance, it’s still very encouraging to see them do so. The majority of DJs continue to resort to doing nothing more than hitting play when they appear on TV, so when you have people like Alex and Drew, or even Kygo earlier this year, actually put in the effort to perform a track live, it’s always appreciated.
