Following up on the release of their collaboration with NGHTMRE this week on “Frontlines,” Zeds Dead are back with a new music video for their recent song “Blame.” Released earlier in the summer, “Blame” served as our first taste of the upcoming album Northern Lights and featured Diplo and Swedish rapper Elliphant.

The new music video pays homage to the Saturday morning cartoons of decades past, taking a distinct influence from 80’s animated programs like GI Joe and Transformers. The “Blame” visual accompaniment delivers an excellently crafted retro art style, complete with muted color schemes and epic fight sequences. The Zeds Dead logo features as a calling card for a heroic task force in the clip, who are called in to fight a cobra like villain.

The nostalgic concept for the “Blame” video serves the tune well, fitting its melodic yet bass heavy sound while offering up an enjoyable visual tie-in for the single.

When Zeds Dead first announced their upcoming album earlier in the summer, it was revealed that it was set to drop sometime in September. Now that their release schedule seems to be picking up steam, we hope to see Northern Lights hit the shelves soon.
