Zeds Dead And NGHTMRE Collaborate On “Frontlines”

Zeds Dead are back with a new single today as they deliver “Frontlines” with fellow producer NGHTMRE and vocalist GG Magree. The Canadian EDM duo had previously previewed the collaboration during their performance at Spring Awakening earlier in the summer, and now the full version has hit the internet for streaming and purchase.

Considering the bass heavy nature of both Zeds Dead and NGHTMRE’s usual work, fans may be surprised to hear a fairly lightweight affair on “Frontlines.” The new collaboration opens with a plucky bell like sound against a smooth chord progression and GG Magree’s gentle vocal delivery. After an intense build-up, “Frontlines” dives head first into future bass drops with rhythmic, hypnotizing chord flutters, chopped up vocal melodies and grinding trap beats.

Some fans may be disappointed to discover a lack of spastic low end madness on “Frontlines,” but Zeds Dead and NGHTMRE deliver a solid effort as they explore the sonic terrain common to dance music’s latest in vogue style.

“Frontlines” is available now via Deadbeats and can be purchased here.
