Like the recent NGHTMRE single, “Stardust” sees Zeds Dead exploring new sonic terrain to deliver a unique production. Eschewing the bass heavy sound design that first brought the duo to prominence, they craft a somber yet ethereal tune, kicking off with crackling vinyl samples and twinkling bells as Twin Shadow’s emotive vocals take over. “Stardust” utilizes crunchy guitar riffs and acoustic sounding drums, bringing a live feel to the electronic elements presented within.

Zeds Dead deliver the goods with their latest offering, crafting an encapsulating production with a memorable sound that sets it apart from the bulk of music coming out of the dance music scene these days.

“Stardust” is set to feature on Zeds Dead‘s upcoming album Northern Lights, which is due for release on October 14. You won’t have to wait until then to grab the new single though, as it’s available for purchase now.
