A CG-animated teaser detailed new protagonist Connor entering a Revolutionary War-era battlefield and executing a British higher-up, while the gameplay portion showed off numerous elements unique to the series’ newest entry.

Connor was shown navigating a snow-covered forest with numerous hills and mountains, encountering and hunting deer and wolf packs, and entering a camp, where he gave some of the animal meat to a butcher as part of a sidequest. Afterwards, he was shown riding a horse and taking out several British soldiers via hanging them from trees, using them as shields for bullets, and making good use of his tomahawk.

Once they were disposed of, Connor navigated various mountains and branches to infiltrate a British fort, where he took out a specified character via a fancy slow-motion jump and stab.

Afterward, a brief trailer gave hints at some of the different environments in the game, including towns, glacial areas, meadows, and tall mountains.

Assassin’s Creed III is scheduled for an October 30 release.
