NIS America has announced that Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland is now shipping to retailers throughout North America. This inaugural shipment will come in two flavours: the standard retail edition and the premium edition, which contains an exclusive (full-colour) art book, soundtrack and collectible box. It’s available exclusively on PlayStation 3.

Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland takes place several years after the events in its predecessor, Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland. It follows a new alchemist, chronicling her adventures featuring an improved battle system and more in-depth synthesis. Her journey unfolds using a beautiful hand drawn art style.

Check out some of the game’s features below.

  • Travel and map the Republic of Arland over several years, exploring dozens of unique locales
  • Synthesize hundreds of items including: ingredients, weapons, armor and explosives
  • Classic turn-based RPG combat brings strategy and a sense of nostalgia to the experience
  • Several unique endings to enhance replay value

The small fishing village of Alanya on the Arland Republic’s southern border is home to the young alchemist-in-training Totooria Helmold. She is called Totori by her friends and family, and wishes to become a great adventurer someday.

This happens when she decides to journey into Arland to become her dream, in order to explore the world outside of her hometown. New friends are met along the way with your decisions throughout the game altering its final outcome.
