The end of this month will be marked by the western localization of one of Japan’s more unique games: Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2. NIS America is handling region-specific publishing duties for the role-playing experience from Idea Factory and Compile Heart.

In this quirky sequel, an evil force known as the ASIC (Arfoire Syndicate of International Crime) has sprung up, following the death of its members’ beloved (yet also evil)  Arfoire. After the group’s influence and detrimental deeds begin to affect the residents of Gamindustri (an aptly named location,) the CPU Candidates must step in to stop them. For the uninitiated, those aforementioned heroes are colour-coded and exaggerated young ladies, who happen to be named after computer terminology.

Perhaps you’ve heard of this series, although the chances are that it may be new to you. In all honesty, I’d never heard of it until recently. What I’ve seen certainly looks unique, which is good. Plus, the games seem to have a sizable following, comprised of members who can’t wait to get their hands on this release.

No matter which group you belong to, we recommend checking out the included trailer and new set of screenshots, which NIS America has just revealed.

Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 will make its way to Europe on February 24th. North American gamers can finally get their hands on it four days later (February 28, to be exact.)
