Being a fantasy RPG, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has multiple styles of combat so gamers can choose to fight how they wish. However, Reckoning takes that one step further and doesn’t limit the player to one specific class or set of skills, according to a new trailer.

We’ve got the traditional melee, magic and stealth classes available, but the player is free to mix and match abilities to rack up combos and gain greater rewards. There will also expectantly be certain amount of strategy to using certain types of attacks against enemies that are weak against them.

Me? I always build a warrior class. Not only because I’m actually trained in the art of swordfighting, but look at that two-handed greatsword in the trailer. I hope there will be tons of different kinds of weapons and armor. Most RPGs never seem to have enough variety of stuff, and that makes me a sad gamer.

Sorry, the video is currently unavailable.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on February 7, 2012.

What say you, gamers? How will you play?
