Colourful Lobs Will Return When Mario Tennis Open 3DS Releases In May

This morning's Nintendo Direct video conference from the company's main Japanese branch excitedly revealed that Mario Tennis Open will be available this May for the 3DS. Its announcement was accompanied by a nice-looking trailer, which gives us a first glimpse at the arcade sports title.

Mario and his pals are headed back to the court for more serves, lobs and aces.

This morning’s Nintendo Direct video conference from the company’s main Japanese branch excitedly revealed that Mario Tennis Open will be available this May for the 3DS. Its announcement was accompanied by a nice-looking trailer, which gives us a first glimpse at the arcade sports title. Touchscreen fans will be happy to note that the video shows the bottom screen filled with touch-sensitive shot buttons. Though, more traditional players can still opt for button commands.

Mario Tennis Open will be available in North America on May 20. Japan will receive the game on May 24, while Europe will have to wait until May 25.
