Capcom and Ninja Theory have been extremely tight-lipped on Devil May Cry thus far. Outside of a few trailers showing off level design and some combat, we really don’t know much about the title. Well, today Capcom decided to fill us in a bit on what can expect story wise.

If you flash back to the announcement trailer, Dante was being held in some sort of detention facility while being interrogated. As it turns out, this is a bit of old hat for our friend. Dante has grown up in various institutions, orphanages, foster homes and youth correctional facilities, but unlike your third grade teacher, the people running these actually are demons. Moreover, as to be expected with demons, there was plenty of torture and violence. This hasn’t exactly sat well with Dante, and he’s developed a pretty deep hatred of demons and authority in general.

Longtime fans in the series can rest easy knowing that the weapons will be familiar. Ebony and Ivory as well as Rebellion will be back to help you dismember demons in the traditional over-the-top Devil May Cry style.

So what say you, readers? Are you getting excited, or are we still angry over the design change. Personally, I can’t wait to see how this turns out. Take a look at a few new screens and let us know what you think in the comments.
