Another glimpse of the next chapter in the Madden saga was released today. There has been quite a lot of hype for the upcoming game lately as underdog Peyton Hillis was named the cover player for Madden 12. In the new trailer, we get a look at some new gameplay and features.

To be honest, it’s difficult to see much difference between Madden 11 and Madden 12 but the trailer still looks pretty exciting. With a solid music track in the background and some boasting of new features, the game looks to once again provide a fresh take on the franchise.

The trailer says to expect Madden 12 to include new defensive coverages and playmaking abilities but I am skeptical as to how much these new features will alter the game. It will likely be quite similar to the last game but overall Madden 12 is sure to impress, the franchise rarely lets us down. Even if the games are usually carbon copies of each other.

Madden 12 will be released on August 30, 2011 for all platforms.
