Final Fantasy XIII-2 Gets Assassin’s Creed Content?

You know, funny thing, I was just thinking that Final Fantasy is severely lacking in Assassin's Creed references. Okay I wasn't thinking that at all, but that very thought is going to be a reality now. Ezio has made it from games to Metal Gear Solid to Soul Calibur, and he'll now find a way into upcoming Final Fantasy XIII-2, if only as a downloadable costume.

You know, funny thing, I was just thinking that Final Fantasy is severely lacking in Assassin’s Creed references. Okay I wasn’t thinking that at all, but that very thought is going to be a reality now. Ezio has previously made appearances in both Metal Gear Solid and Soul Calibur. Now, he’ll now find a way into Final Fantasy XIII-2, if only as a downloadable costume.

The protagonist, Noel Kreiss, will have the above costume available as a downloadable bonus later on after the game’s release. I suppose this makes sense, given that Final Fantasy XIII-2 focuses much of the story on time traveling, and Ezio is from older times, and…uh…well….what were we talking about again?

No word on release date or price as of yet but we’ll keep you posted.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is scheduled to release January 31, 2012.

What say you, gamers? Does this crossover make sense to anyone?
