Take to the dirt and destroy the opposition in this intense downloadable racer

Twain Harte, CA – June 27, 2012 – The dust has settled, and it’s been too long since there was a truly great offroad racer in the mix. No longer is that true, as 2XL Games announced today that Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad is now available for both Xbox LIVE®Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®Network. Published by D3Publisher for Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 (800 Microsoft Points) and Reverb Publishing for PlayStation Network ($9.99), Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad tosses out the needless, most tedious aspects of racing games in favor of a game that is truly fun. Chock-full of features such as multiplayer, vehicle upgrades, 60 frames per second and a full 1080p HD presentation, Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad puts you on right on the track with non-stop fender-to-fender, big air, mudslinging, dirt-spraying action on some of the most spectacular tracks and races ever seen in offroad game play.

“Looking back on the previous generation of games, there were a lot of great racers out there that were simply a lot of fun. They were inspiring,” said Robb Rinard, creative director at 2XL Games. “We wanted to recapture what was great about those games while making something our own. I’m proud of what we’ve created, and I’m more than ready to take on some challengers online.”

In Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad, players race four-wheeled, 800-horsepower offroad race trucks with tons of options, as well as a wide load-out of vehicle classes including Rally Cars, Pro Buggies and Pro Lite Trucks. Eight-player multiplayer boasts dynamic interactions between all competing vehicles so players can see and feel the impact of mid-race collisions. Career mode follows Jeremy’s bid for the Pro2 championship within the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. Utilizing 2XL Games’ proprietary XLR8 engine, all this arcade racing action takes place inside a persistent game world that presents challenge after challenge at 60 frames per second in crispy 1080p.
