While speaking to Jeremy Piven about his upcoming film Spy Kids: All The Time In The World 4D, we decided to slip in a quick question about the possible Entourage movie. When asked if it was still happening, Piven told us that:

“They want to do it, it’s all about Doug Ellin though. He’s the writer. They’re like ‘write this movie’ and he needs to pick it up. We need to get on this guy.”

A brief but reassuring quote from Mr. Piven. We already know that Doug Ellin wants to do it and Mark Wahlberg has said that he’ll finance it if he has to, so it looks like all things are a go.

When Piven says “they” I assume he means HBO and if so, then that means the network is on board as well. So all the key players are up for doing the film, meaning it shouldn’t be too long now before we see something.

All signs are pretty positive for the film. With each new story that surfaces about the possible movie, we hear the same thing, everyone wants to do it. There’s no reason that it shouldn’t happen and I guess it’s just a matter of time now.
