Every year EA Sports releases their latest version of the popular Madden video game franchise. Along with the games release comes the always exciting regular season simulation and recently released were the Madden NFL 13 predictions, which show a familiar face atop the AFC and a surprising top NFC seed.

The perennial Super Bowl contending New England (N.E.) Patriots finished 12-4 to claim the top seed in the AFC. They were led by their quarterback Tom Brady, who they predict to win the league MVP. Brady threw for a simulated 50 touchdowns and 5374 passing yards.

Other N.E. standouts were wide out Wes Welker who snagged in 111 receptions, 1430 receiving yards, and 7 TDs. Tight end Rob Gronkowski was simulated for a total of 82 catches, 1188 receiving yards, and 13 TDs and Kyle Arrington, their 5th year corner back, finished with 5 simulated interceptions.

Over on the NFC side of things, they had the Chicago Bears finishing with an identical 12-4 record, tied with the Green Bay Packers, but they had Chicago wining the tiebreaker to finish as the #1 NFC seed. It was the revamped Bears passing game that led them to the crown.

QB Jay Cutler threw for 4215 yards and 36 TDs, and his main target, receiver Brandon Marshall accounted for a simulated 80 grabs with 1185 yards and 8 TDs. Also chipping in to the Chicago offense was running back Matt Forte with 1250 rushing yards and 9 TDs.

Other Division winners were the Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons, and the Philadelphia Eagles. They were joined in the playoffs by the wildcard Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, and New Orleans Saints.

What do you think? Which of these predictions will hold true?
