Zeboyd Games‘ recent downloadable retro-styled Penny Arcade-themed RPG, On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3, has been available on both PC and the Xbox LIVE Indie Games service for almost a month. Now, Jerry Holkins, writer for the Penny Arcade webcomic, has confirmed plans for both free downloadable content for the current game as well as an upcoming sequel.

On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 will receive two free DLC packs; the first of which, The Lair Of The Seamstress, Holkins expects to release sometime next month, possibly at the same time as the PAX Prime gaming expo the web comic’s creators run. As of today, Zeboyd has also started work on a currently nameless second DLC pack as well as the above-mentioned full-fledged sequel.

On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 offered a lot of laughs and some well-crafted 16-bit styled gameplay mechanics, and I’m interested to see what Zeboyd does with the next title.
