Sony has announced that the public beta for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will begin tomorrow (October 16th) for PlayStation Plus members, before opening up to everyone on October 23rd. Additionally, as a special thank you to the tens of Vita owners out there, the handheld’s multiplayer beta will kick off tomorrow for everyone.

The public beta will be limited in both its duration and scope, with participants being able to access the following characters/features before it ends on October 30th:

  • Play as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa, and Fat Princess
  • Play in both the Metropolis and Hades stages
  • Play in four-player online tournaments and 2 v 2 online tournaments (2 v 2 games will support friend invites)
  • Cross-Play between the PS3 and Vita versions will be included

Sony also revealed an incentive program that will unlock an exclusive set of bonus costumes (pictured above) for anyone who pre-orders the game from participating retailers. All-Stars Battle Royale is also part of the Cross-Buy program. This means that you will get a code to download the Vita version for free when you purchase the game on the PS3.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale launches on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita on November 20, 2012 in North America.  Check out the beta trailer below, and get ready to rumble tomorrow if you are a PlayStation Plus member.
