Quarrel Brings Word Fun To XBLA

If you're looking for a game that will show off your brilliant mind, then there's no need to look any further. Quarrel, the critically acclaimed iOS word game, has made its way to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The nice thing is that it's only 400 Microsoft Points, or the equivalent of five American dollars. Not bad at all, if you ask me.

To win, players must compete against others (or the artificial intelligence), to string together eight-letter anagrams. The competitor with the best inner dictionary will be victorious, taking over island territories which dot the game world. Think of it as Scrabble-meets-RISK gameplay.

This Xbox LIVE Arcade version features:

Online, 1-4 player multiplayer
Nine diverse AI characters, each with its own unique personality and play style
12 different island maps and four gameplay modes to explore
Collins Official SCRABBLE Dictionary (2nd Edition 2007 © HarperCollins Publishers 2005, 2007)
Xbox LIVE features including leaderboards, achievements, in-game messaging and voice chat
Microsoft Avatar Support
Brand new single player challenge mode

Quarrel provides a great chance to find out who the smartest person in your circle of friends is, while having a good time doing so.
