Get your tomahawks and six shooters ready, because this long weekend is sure to be a rough and tumble one. With your finger on the trigger, you can take part in Rockstar Games’ quadruple XP weekend for Red Dead Redemption. The event runs from Canada Day on July 1, through to the Fourth of July. So, dust off those hitches and clean out your gun’s barrel, to avoid any nasty clogging issues. We all know how dusty the wild west can get.

The extra special reasoning behind all of this is the fact that the developer is planning to announce a new downloadable content pack for the amazing open world adventure, sometime within “the coming weeks.”

It’s not known what this DLC pack will entail, but the rumor is that it could be the Fan Appreciation Pack, which was mentioned during E3. It was said to contain fan favourite character skins, along with new content, for several different multiplayer modes.

We’ll keep you updated. But, for now, lets’ all get ready for tomorrow’s duel at high noon.
