In a decidedly odd move, Sony has created a ‘super-trailer’ combining their two major James Bond properties landing this fall: Skyfall, the latest film starring Daniel Craig, and 007 Legends, an era-spanning video game for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably seen that Skyfall trailer five to ten times in the last 24 hours, and you’ll have to watch at least one more time to reach the 007 Legends preview attached at the end (not that I’m complaining, mind you).

So what can we glean from this Legends glimpse? Well, it’s definitely a James Bond game, and not just because of the 007 theme blaring in the background. You’ve got rocket ships, larger-than-life enemies, cool gadgets, explosions, gunfire aplenty, and graphics reminiscent of the N64 classic Goldeneye. The game’s hook is that it combines six iconic Bond films under one narrative.

The preview’s big reveal is that the 1979 Roger Moore film, Moonraker, will provide the foundation for the first ‘mission.’ If the end of the trailer is to be trusted, subsequent video releases will tease the other five levels over the coming months.

007 Legends arrives on the Xbox 360 and PS3 October 16th. Does the preview get you excited? If not, there’s always the Skyfall teaser to fall back on.
