EDIT: Capcom has moved its targeted release date for Resident Evil 6 up to October 2, 2012.

If you ask me, the Resident Evil 6 demo that Capcom premiered during Microsoft‘s E3 press conference was one of the show’s few highlights. It gave us a look at some impressive, tension-filled gameplay from a game that survival horror fans around the globe are eagerly awaiting.

During the aforementioned demo’s few minute-long run time, Leon S. Kennedy was shown battling zombie-like creatures, using bullets, explosives and basic agility. However, that’s not all it showed, as we were also treated to some cinematic highlights, including a run-for-your-life escape from certain death.

As if getting a chance to see the game in action for the first time wasn’t enough, it was also confirmed that the game’s downloadable content will make its way to the Xbox 360 first.

Resident Evil 6 will be released this fall.
