While Marvel’s silver screen ventures take a larger than life look at super heroics, Daredevil promises a far grittier take on the genre, exploring the impact of crime and vigilantism on a more realistic street-bound level. What’s really got the fans excited though is that Daredevil is only the first of five Marvel Netflix series, which will include A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage before eventually combining into one team known as The Defenders.

If these characters prove popular, Marvel has suggested that feature films could soon follow, so all eyes will be on Netflix for Daredevil’s premiere come April 10th. However, a hero is only as good as their supporting cast, and while staples such as the Kingpin and Karen Page have already appeared in the trailer, there’s still a huge number of memorable characters who haven’t been mentioned yet. Few of these suggestions have made an impact outside of the Daredevil canon so far, but if handled right, the following characters could become vital additions to future seasons and even the MCU at large.

Hell, we don’t even care if Squirrel Girl becomes Daredevil’s sidekick, just as long as the showrunners can do something, anything to help us forget the Daredevil movie.
