American Horror Story’s Latest Poster Delivers A Potent Dose Of Nightmare Fuel

Hoping to add a little fright to our Fridays, FX has dropped the latest (and potentially greatest?) poster for American Horror Story: Apocalypse.

This past fortnight alone has seen all sorts of weird and wonderful teasers for American Horror Story: Apocalypse, but this birthday-themed poster may well be our favorite one yet.

Coming to us by way of FX (h/t Bloody Disgusting), it’s a suitably creepy one-sheet to add to the growing collection, and further proof that Ryan Murphy and his team have rustled up something truly insane for what will be the long-awaited crossover between “Murder House” and “Coven.”

That means this year’s “Apocalypse” will include a whole host of familiar faces – Jessica Lange, for instance, will be reprising as Constance Langdon. This being American Horror Story, though, we fully expect one or two surprises along the way, as Murphy conjures up a season to remember. Four weeks and counting, people!

Pretty cool, no? It’s certainly an ominous addition to the ongoing American Horror Story marketing blitz, which is seemingly on the verge of unveiling the full-length trailer for “Apocalypse.” We’ve already caught the static-filled teasers and viral marketing, so it’s surely only a matter of time before FX showcases its wares.

Either way, we know season 8 heralds the return of AHS stalwarts like Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Joan Collins, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman and Adina Porter. As the show’s eighth season is tinged by witchcraft, both Emma Roberts and Taissa Farmiga are expected to reprise their roles, too, which ought to please those long-time fans of AHS waiting to see their favorite characters interact on the small screen.

American Horror Story officially triggers the “Apocalypse” on September 12th. And don’t worry, the show’s future is safe as houses, as FX handed out a two-season renewal to the gothic anthology series earlier this month.
