Arrow Star Stephen Amell Reveals Which Batman Villain He’d Play If Given The Chance

It's now been made clear on multiple occasions that the DC TV Universe isn't going to be crossing over with any of the DCEU films, which means we're never going to see Stephen Amell's Green Arrow lining up alongside the rest of the Justice League. It’s now been made clear on multiple occasions that the DC TV Universe isn’t going to be crossing over with any of the DCEU films, which means we’re never going to see Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow lining up alongside the rest of the Justice League. Perhaps, then, that’s why the Arrow star has given some thought to who he’d like to play in the cinematic universe if given a chance.

Talking in a recent interview to promote the release of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel, Amell revealed that he actually has his sights set on one of Batman’s rogues.

“I always get this question. I think all the superheroes are taken now. I’ll play The Riddler, okay? It’s a villain, but I like The Riddler.”

The chances of that happening are obviously somewhere between slim and none, but it does seem somewhat appropriate that the actor would pick a Batman villain when you take into account just how much Arrow has borrowed from the Caped Crusader’s world over the past few years.

Of course, Amell clearly isn’t campaigning for the role, but chances are that his big screen career is indeed about to take off in a major way after playing Casey Jones in TMNT: Out of the Shadows. As a result, it will be interesting to see what other projects he takes on when not working on Arrow, though with the fifth season set to air this Fall, he’s definitely got a busy few months ahead of him.
