Chronos Returns In First Look Images From Next Week’s Legends Of Tomorrow

The CW has released the first official images from next week's episode of Legends of Tomorrow, and they feature the unexpected return of Chronos. The CW has released the first official images from next week’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow, and they feature the unexpected return of Chronos. One of the show’s biggest twists came when we learned that it was Heat Wave inside that armour, but he’s since been reformed, so what leads him to return to that role is hard to say.

However, based on the synopsis for “Destiny,” it sounds like the Time Masters may have some sort of mental control over Rory which forces him to take on this villainous persona once again. Check it out for yourself below:

Being in the vicinity of the Time Masters leaves Rip (Arthur Darvill) and Rory (Dominic Purcell) incredibly disturbed for very different reasons. Meanwhile, Sara (Caity Lotz) takes over the Waverider, Kendra (Ciara Renée) is reunited with Carter (guest star Falk Hentschel) and Snart (Wentworth Miller) decides he might be a hero after all. Olatunde Osunsanmi directed the episode with story by Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Phil Klemmer & Chris Fedak.

Interestingly, there’s no sign of Vandal Savage in these images, so hopefully tonight’s instalment of Legends of Tomorrow will address what’s become of him since the team took him prisoner.

Whatever the answer may be, it definitely appears as if Legends of Tomorrow will take us to some unexpected places as we race towards the season finale, and that’s no bad thing. With a smaller amount of episodes to play with than Arrow and The Flash, the spinoff has told a much tighter story, and the signs are all definitely pointing to a pretty massive ending to the team’s first adventure.
