So, it pleases us to say that one very welcome addition to the writing staff is that of Sterling Gates, whom many of you may remember from his extended stay on the Supergirl comics. And knowing how this series already employs the likes of others who’ve written comic books such as Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti – not to mention that DC head honcho Geoff Johns co-developed the show – it’s probably safe to say that Gates will feel right at home.

As for how this became public knowledge, we have Gates himself to thank for that, as he recently took to Twitter by revealing that he’ll be sharing an office with Thomas Pound:

Needless to say, this should instill a bit of confidence in us geeks, knowing that there’s going to be a good measure of quality control, if you will. Plus, there’s also the fact that Gates has already dipped his toe into this universe, having already written tie-in comics like Adventures of Supergirl and The Flash: Season Zero, both of which expanded on the worlds established by the TV shows by filling in some story gaps.

The Flash returns for its fourth season on Tuesday, October 10 on The CW. Will you be tuning in? Let us know in the usual place!
