Arrow finally returns to The CW this week, and the network has today released the first official images from the episode. They feature a surprise wedding, the return of Suicide Squad member Cupid, and the trial of Damien Darhk as everyone from Diggle to Captain Lance are put on the stand by Lauren Lance to testify against the villain.

For more details on what to expect from this instalment of Arrow – titled “Broken Hearts” – here’s the official synopsis:

A heartbroken Cupid (guest star Amy Gumenick) returns to Star City with one goal – to destroy anyone in love. The team learns she’s killing couples on their wedding day so Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) decide to pose as bait.

While some Arrow fans would love to see Oliver and Felicity walk down the aisle, they recently parted ways, so you can bet your life that this “wedding” is going to be extremely awkward for them both. Cupid is always a fun character though, so seeing her comes face to face with Ollie (without realizing he’s also the Green Arrow, a hero she’s obsessed with) should be a lot of fun.

Arguably the biggest draw here though is Darhk’s trial, especially when you take into account what another recently released synopsis for Arrow teased…
