In just a few short weeks, our wait for new episodes of The Flash and Arrow will be over when their mid-season premieres arrive on the small screen. Sure, we’ve seen promo videos here and there, but it’s always nice to get the official synopses that may provide even more clues as to where the next episodes may go.

In the tenth episode of Season 2 of The Flash, which is titled “Potential Energy,” Barry struggles with the decision of revealing his secret identity to his gal pal, Patty Spivot. Whether or not to reveal that you’re a superpowered vigilante to your significant other seems to be the eternal struggle for super heroes. The future Kid Flash, Wally West, will also get some screen time as he gets to know his long lost family.

JOE AND IRIS GET TO KNOW WALLY — Now that they’ve grown closer, Barry (Grant Gustin) considers telling Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) that he is The Flash. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) try to get to know Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale), and the team hunts down a meta-human who can slow time itself. Rob Hardy directed the episode written by Bryan Q. Miller (#210). Original airdate 1/19/2016.

As for the tenth episode of Season 4 of Arrow, titled “Blood Debts,” we will hopefully finally learn whether or not Felicity survived Damien Darhk’s brutal attack in the mid-season finale. As the episode’s title suggest, viewers should expect the Green Arrow to be out for blood in what is sure to be an emotional, yet action-packed episode.

THE AFTERMATH — Oliver (Stephen Amell) must deal with the devastating consequences of Darhk’s (guest star Neal McDonough) last attack. Seeking revenge, Oliver goes on a brutal manhunt looking for Dahrk. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Oscar Balderrama & Sarah Tarkoff (#410).  Original airdate 1/20/2016.

The mid-season premiere of The Flash will air Tuesday, January 19 at 8:00 pm on The CW, with Arrow’s return being on Wednesday, January 20 at 8:00 pm on the same network.
