First Images From FX’s Feud Get Feisty

Ryan Murphy is all over FX. The former Nip/Tuck creator helped bring American Horror Story and The People vs. OJ Simpson onto the small screen, and later this year he'll unveil Feud: Better and Joan, his latest anthology series which looks at the legendary rivalry between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. While details on the project have been slim up to this point, the promotional wagon has now kicked into gear and after premiering a pair of intriguing teasers, the network has now released the first images from the anticipated series.

Ryan Murphy is all over FX. The former Nip/Tuck creator helped bring American Horror Story and The People vs. OJ Simpson onto the small screen, and later this year he’ll unveil Feud: Better and Joan, his latest anthology series which looks at the legendary rivalry between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. While details on the project have been slim up to this point, the promotional wagon has now kicked into gear and after premiering a pair of intriguing teasers, the network has now released the first images from the anticipated series.

Murphy’s latest period drama finds Susan Sarandon as Davis and frequent collaborator Jessica Lange as Crawford. This journey down Old Hollywood memory lane also features Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Jackie Hoffman, Alison Wright, Judy Davis, Dominic Burgess, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kathy Bates (of course), Sarah Paulson (of course) and Kiernan Shipka, though it’s Sarandon and Lange who get the spotlight in these images. How fitting.

While American Horror Story is notoriously hit-and-miss, The People vs. OJ Simpson surprised most everyone in its eventual excellence, and that’s reason enough to look forward to what Murphy and his team will bring to Feud. The new series is set to tackle ageism, sexism and misogyny as it explores the making of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? It sounds quite promising and we’ve definitely got our fingers crossed.

Feud: Bette and Davis premieres March 5 at 10 PM on FX. Tell us, are you looking forward to Murphy’s latest TV series? Let us know your thoughts down below, whatever they might be.
