The Flash is the jewel of the CW’s DCTV lineup, perfectly capturing the silver-age influenced adventures of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), the fastest man alive. Now, as the series finishes production of its third season and wraps up the ongoing Flashpoint event, it looks as if we may see a new Weather Wizard.

We recently got some leaked set pictures, showing the Flash’s stunt double fighting a character with a shock of white hair. Debate soon raged as to who this mysterious white-haired character might be, with rival speedster Max Mercury seeming like the prime candidate. Now, we might have our answer courtesy of an Instagram update from actor David Dastmalchian, who was recently seen on set sharing a scene with Flash, Vibe, Gypsy and Kid Flash.

Not only is he getting his hair dyed white, but he’s reading Flash: Rebirth #15, in which Weather Wizard plots one of the most epic heists of all-time. If this is a subtle hint, it’d make Dastmalchian the third actor (after Chad Rook and Liam McIntyre) to play the weather manipulating supervillain.

Dastmalchian is no stranger to superhero properties, as you might recognize him as Kurt from Ant-Man, his appearances in Gotham as morgue attendant Dwight Pollard and a small but memorable turn in The Dark Knight as the mental patient being violently interrogated by Harvey Dent in the wake of Jim Gordon’s ‘assassination.’

Whether he turns out to be the Weather Wizard or not, Dastmalchian would be a welcome addition to The Flash‘s already dynamic cast, who’ve played a major role in helping the Arrowverse TV lineup gradually become something pretty special. You have to think that the DC Extended Universe crew, who seem to be dealing with one piece of bad news after another, must be looking on enviously as DCTV moves from strength to strength.

The Flash airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
