Some new set snaps from the currently shooting sixth season of HBO’s Game Of Thrones have proven to be quite revealing. The scenes being shot around the Public Theater in Girona, Spain, feature a troupe of actors (most likely a variation on the Mummers from the source novels) dressed as some very familiar faces as they prepare to perform a “play-within-the-show.”

The actress dressed as the ever kind and gentle Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) is none other than Essie Davis, who garnered great acclaim for her performance in Aussie horror flick, The Babadook. She also popped up in the last two Matrix movies. Plus, that’s clearly Richard E. Grant (Withnail And I, Bram Stocker’s Dracula) in costume as Cersei’s late husband, King Robert Baratheon. There’s been speculation that he’s actually playing an incarnation of the King of the Mummers, Izembaro, but that remains to be seen.

Finally, the Instagram pic below shows Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) taking a little stroll with Davis. Was this just between takes, or will we see Arya join up with this band of Thespians? Not even fans of the books could tell you, as we’re all in uncharted territory now.

Game Of Thrones returns early next year on HBO.
