New Gotham Images Offer First Look At Harvey Dent

New Gotham Images Offer First Look At Harvey Dent

We’re now seven weeks into Fox’s Batman prequel series Gothamand have already been introduced to a handful of characters who will one day undergo villainous transformations and become members of the Dark Knight’s iconic rogues gallery.

Oswald “Penguin” Cobblepot is perhaps on the fastest track toward reaching his destiny, as he’s now making his way up the ranks of the Maroni crime family (with a little help from Maroni’s rival, Carmine Falcone). Edward Nygma is spouting riddles left and right, but is still a very trusted member of the GCPD, and future femme fatales Catwoman and Poison Ivy are still in their youth.

We’ve seen glimpses of other characters, too – like serial killer Victor Zsasz – and have heard rumblings that villains like Mr. Freeze, the Dollmaker, Scarecrow and even the Joker are on the horizon. Before we get there, however, there’s one Batman foe ready to make his debut: Harvey Dent, the future Two-Face.

Dent will be played by Masters of Sex and Heroes alum Nicholas D’Agosto, who landed the coveted role last month. He’ll be a recurring character on the series, with the option of becoming a regular if Gotham is picked up for a second season. And now, thanks to EW, we have our first glimpse at the Assistant District Attorney as well as a new character synopsis, which you can check out below:

“[Dent is a] bright, charming, idealistic Assistant District Attorney whose sole mission is to eradicate the crime and corruption that has poisoned Gotham. Handsome, warm, and engaging, Dent is appealing, energetic, and full of light and life, even while taking on the worst Gotham has to offer. Although he will one day serve as the white knight Gotham needs so badly, Harvey Dent also gives us a fleeting glimpse of the hideous villain he will become — Two-Face.”

D’Agosto will debut on Gotham as Harvey Dent on November 17th. Will you be watching?
