The CW has released the first batch of promotional images for next week’s episode of The Flash, and while they mostly focus on the show’s supporting cast, we also get a first look at Ciara Renée as Kendra Saunders, a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker Hawkgirl.

Whether we’ll get to see that transformation in this episode of The Flash isn’t clear, as that’s something which is most likely being saved for the planned Arrow/The Flash crossover which will set up DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

For more info, here’s the synopsis of the episode, which is titled “The Darkness and the Light”:

Barry (Grant Gustin) learns a new breacher, Dr. Light, has come through the portal and sets off to capture her. Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) tells Barry that Dr. Light was not a threat on Earth-2 and that Barry can reason with her. However, during a fight with The Flash, she blinds him and drops some shocking news about Zoom. Meanwhile, Barry and Patty (Shantel VanSanten) go out on a date.

The only other interesting thing to note here is that there’s no sign of Harrison Wells and Zoom in these images, especially as they’re both set to factor into the episode in a major way. Regardless, you can check out all of these new photos in the gallery above, and let us know what you think by dropping a comment.
