The Huntress Could Return In Arrow Season 6

Actually, this version of Helena Bertinelli had a bit more of a “bad girl” streak to her, often forcing Oliver Queen to take a long, hard look at himself, and to question where the line separating “hero” from “vigilante” truly ended. Plus, it didn’t help matters that he dated her for a brief period.

In the time since, the Arrowverse has ballooned to proportions we couldn’t have imagined a half-decade ago, but unfortunately, the Huntress hasn’t been heard from since season 2. Well, technically, she did appear in the Arrow Season 2.5 comic book series, but we’re talking in a live action sense. Either way, it’s certainly been a while.

Now, this is probably mostly contingent on the availability of actress Jessica De Gouw. Still, that didn’t stop CBR from asking executive producer Marc Guggenheim if we could see her in season 6, to which he replied:

“I want to say, ‘Absolutely.’ Jessica De Gouw has expressed an absolute willingness to come back. Jessica’s a favorite actor of mine, and the Huntress is a favorite character of mine. I want to make it happen in Season 6. We’ve got some plans for the later half of the year that I think she will fit into really well, so we’ll see.”

Although that’s in no way a guarantee, it does instil some hope in us. And even if that doesn’t pan out, let’s not rule out her showing up in season 7 because, you know, the producers have already started mapping that out as well. Regardless of when and if she returns, we can’t wait to see if Helena has grown as a person just as Oliver has, and how their reunion will play out.

Arrow returns for its sixth season on Thursday, October 12 on The CW.
