A new batch of images have been released from the seventh episode of Gotham, and they feature some very interesting hints about what’s to come in this instalment of the hit Fox drama.

Gotham has gotten off to a strong start this year, and it’s to the show’s credit that it’s maintained the same level of quality which made the second half of season one so satisfying. We’re hoping that this episode will keep the momentum going, and it certainly sounds like that will be the case.

Here’s the official synopsis for “Mommy’s Little Monster,” courtesy of Fox:

Butch leads Penguin and his men to the warehouse where Gertrude is being held, as Penguin plots his revenge on Galavan for kidnapping his mother. Meanwhile, Nygma deals with the aftermath of a deadly accident in the all new “Rise of the Villains: Mommy’s Little Monster” episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, Nov. 2.

It’s interesting that the synopsis (which is as brief and vague as ever) only touches on what The Penguin and The Riddler will be getting up to in this episode of Gotham, especially as Jim Gordon, Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle all factor into the images above just as much as those two villains. We’ll just have to wait and see what they end up getting up to, but one thing this show always does well is handle its ensemble cast in a satisfying manner.
