Intense Arrow Season 6 Trailer Debuts Along With New Synopsis

Now that we have less than two weeks separating us from the sixth season of Arrow, The CW has thankfully chosen to serve up an extended trailer. Previously, all we had received was a brief promo and a gallery of preview images, which were much appreciated, but we were clamoring for something as meaty as other recent DC TV teasers.

This time, though, we’re not only granted more action, but more hints at what lies ahead for Oliver Queen and company. And while spoilers regarding who may have survived the blast on Lian Yu are being avoided, we do get a little more between Oliver and Deathstroke. But in this instance, we hear more of Slade Wilson’s dialogue, thus clarifying the context of their conversation. Before, his words sounded more foreboding, but now, it seems like he’s offering some brutal truth.

Also of note is a cameo made by Black Siren, a character I’m personally looking forward to seeing more of. To this point, Laurel Lance’s doppelganger from Earth-2 has been both enigmatic and badass, and I can’t wait to learn more of her background.

In related news, a synopsis for this season’s second episode, “Tribute” has found its way online. In it, we’re reminded of how complicated Oliver’s life will become, and it’s confirmed that Anatoly Knyazev will be returning that week as well. As always, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for him becoming KGBeast at some point.

Here’s what we know so far:

ANATOLY RETURNS TO STAR CITY — Oliver (Stephen Amell) tries to balance being the mayor, the Green Arrow and a father to William (guest star Jack Moore). Anatoly (guest star David Nykl) returns to Star City with a deadly agenda. Laura Belsey directed the episode with story by Adam Schwartz and teleplay by Marc Guggenheim & Beth Schwartz (#602). Original airdate 10/19/2017.

Arrow returns for its sixth season on Thursday, October 12 on The CW.
