J.J. Abrams Brings Us Back To Alcatraz In New Teaser Promo

Alcatraz will be based around the mysterious disappearance of 302 men - prisoners and guards - in 1963 that start to reappear randomly in the present. From the trailer, it looks like the show will be somewhere at the intersection of CSI and Cold Case. It also looks like it will share some likeness with Abrams' previous mystery-drama LOST, most notably an island mystery - but why reinvent the wheel?
