The CW has released the first plot details for the February 23rd episode of The Flash, and after his brief appearance in the series last year, we now know that King Shark is going to be making his presence felt in a major way as Barry Allen drafts in some familiar faces from Star City to help out.
For further details on what to expect from this episode of The Flash (rather appropriately titled “King Shark”), here’s the description in full:
When King Shark escapes from an A.R.G.U.S. holding tank, Lila (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) and Diggle (David Ramsey) travel to Central City to warn The Flash (Grant Gustin). King Shark shows up at the West house and attacks Joe (Jesse L. Martin), Iris (Candice Patton), Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Barry. Hanelle Culpepper directed the episode written by Benjamin Raab & Deric A. Hughes.
When King Shark first appeared in The Flash, the show’s producers said that the expense of a CGI villain like that meant his few minutes of screentime would be all we’d likely ever see. Well, as the show continues to go from strength to strength, The CW has clearly decided to give them a little more freedom in order to allow King Shark to have the chance to really shine on the small screen.
The Flash never fails to impress in terms of special effects, and this instalment promises to showcase that with the addition of a very cool comic book villain.
