Liv Braces For A Paddling In Promo For Next Week’s Episode Of iZombie

Although our earliest impressions of the current season of iZombie were overwhelmingly positive, not even we could foresee how well thought out it would end up being. With nine episodes now being behind us, it's become apparent that the producers have put much planning into the current run, possibly making it the strongest the series has had to offer thus far.

Although our earliest impressions of the current season of iZombie were overwhelmingly positive, not even we could foresee how well thought out it would end up being. With nine episodes now being behind us, it’s become apparent that the producers have put much planning into the current run, possibly making it the strongest the series has had to offer thus far.

For example, characters that may otherwise seem innocuous may come back to play a significant role a few episodes after being introduced, be it in either that week’s unique murder mystery or in the overarching narrative. From what we can tell, next week’s episode, “Return of the Dead Guy,” continues to get to the bottom of the case involving the dominatrix who met her demise not long ago. Considering that they keep revisiting this thread, it may have something to do with whatever causes Peyton to land a better job, a secret that actress Aly Michalka recently let us in on.

Judging by the footage given, our best guess is that Liv has to see how the other half lives by ingesting the brain of one of the dominatrix’s clients and then trying to recreate kinky scenarios in order to trigger visions. And if the trailer is any indication, we’ll be left in stitches by the time it’s over.

For more information, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

THINGS AREN’T ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM – Peyton (Aly Michalka) and Liv (Rose McIver) find themselves on a surprising wild goose chase. Ravi (Rahul Kohli) is terrified when the zombie truth hunters’ plans are revealed. Elsewhere, Major (Robert Buckley) finds comfort in an unexpected – and perhaps unwelcome – friend. Malcolm Goodwin and David Anders also star. Written by Talia Gonzalez & Bisanne Masoud and directed by Viet Nguyen.

iZombie airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
