Friends and family flock to her and she decides that she's going to live what remains of her life to the fullest. So, it's time for some crazy impulsive decisions, including marrying a stranger she just met. What does it matter, it's not like she's going to be alive to face the music, right?

Then comes the good news. She’s miraculously cured! Suddenly, Stella’s life stretches on ahead of her and, for the first time in eight years, her choices have consequences that stretch decades ahead of her. Now that she’s not dying, she realizes that her family have been keeping the sacrifices they’ve made for her hidden away. Worse, without her illness she’s no longer ‘special’ – just another unemployable snake person with a silly haircut.

Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale stars as Stella, and judging from the trailer she looks like a perfect combination of cute and annoying for the character. The show also stars Dylan Walsh and Gillian Vigman as her parents, Elliot Knight as her perplexed husband, Jayson Blair and Brooke Lyons as her brother and sister and Carlos PenaVega as her brother-in-law. It’s a promising looking show, all things considered, and should be a good fit for the CW’s dramedy line-up alongside Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Life Sentence will join Black Lightning, Dynasty remake and military drama Valor this Fall in what’s looking to be an exceptional upcoming slate for the network.
