The cast for Aaron Sorkin‘s brand new drama set up at HBO, which is rumored to be titled More As This Story Develops, is slowly beginning to form. Previously it has been said that Jeff Daniels would take the lead role of night news anchorman Will McAllister, and Greg Mottola would be directing the pilot. Today it has been announced that Marisa Tomei is in final talks to play McAllister’s executive producer MacKenzie, a woman dedicated to her job. Tomei is one of a number of actresses considered for the role but she has met with Sorkin and appears to be the frontrunner.

Two other female roles have also been cast. Olivia Munn will play a financial analyst reporter who works on the same cable network as McAllister and Scott Pilgrim vs The World actress Alison Pill will play Maggie, an associate producer who works the assignment desk. The show is being produced by Scott Rudin and is expected to start shooting sometime this year. (Deadline)
