Marvel’s Damage Control Coming To TV From Former Daily Show Scribe

It has been revealed today that Marvel and ABC are developing Damage Control, a single camera sitcom about the people who have to clean up after the Marvel Cinematic Universe's superheroes. How closely tied it will be to shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Daredevil or the movies remains to be seen, but it sounds like a fun concept.

It has been revealed today that Marvel and ABC are developing Damage Control, a single camera sitcom about the people who have to clean up after the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s superheroes. How closely tied it will be to shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Daredevil, or the movies, remains to be seen, but it definitely sounds like a fun concept.

Here’s the official Damage Control description from the network:

“Damage Control follows the overworked, underpaid, clean up crew of the Marvel Universe. Specializing in dealing with the aftermath of the unique fallout from super hero conflicts, they’re the ones who are in charge of returning lost ray guns to their rightful owners, help to reschedule a wedding venue after it has been vaporized in a super hero battle, or even track down a missing prize African parrot that’s been turned to stone or goo.”

The Daily Show alum Ben Karlin is scripting the series, which is based on the Damage Control comic book of the same name. Karlin has also served a co-executive producer on Modern Family, and will be joined here by David Miner and Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of television.

Tell us, are you excited to see what Marvel can bring to the table with Damage Control, or would you have preferred to see them adapt another property for the small screen?
