We’ve already had several trailers for the third season of Showtime’s unsettling horror drama series, Penny Dreadful, but this is by far the best – not to mention most revealing – one yet.
The season 2 finale saw our heroes scattered across the globe, but it seems a new supernatural threat and the predicted “End of Days” will once again unite them to wage war against the forces of darkness.
From the looks of things, it’s going to be newcomer Wes Studi (Hell On Wheels) as enigmatic Native American Kaetenay that seeks to being them together, and there’s also some hints that Vanessa Ives (Eva Green) could be the key to stopping the apocalypse.
Unfortunately for the rest of the team, Miss Ives doesn’t look to be in a very good place – both literally and figuratively. The poor lass is locked away under the care of Dr. Seward (the returning Patti LuPone), but something tells me she’ll answer the call and join her friends once they come pay her a visit.
Penny Dreadful Season 3 debuts Sunday, May 1st at 9pm on Showtime.
