New Wave Of The Walking Dead Season 7 Photos Tease Impending Premiere

Hot on the heels of yesterday's renewal, a new wave of photos for The Walking Dead season 7 have clawed their way online.

All across AMC’s exhaustive marketing campaign for The Walking Dead season 7, so much emphasis has been placed on Negan’s potential victim (victims?) that few have stopped to ask the question: What about those characters who do live to tell the harrowing tale beyond October 23?

Whoever falls prey to Negan and Lucille, the ramifications of the showdown will ripple through the group for many, many episodes to come, and it’s small wonder why Jeffrey Dean Morgan has stressed in the past that things will get “much, much worse” before they get better for Rick and Co.

Teasing some of the trials and tribulations that lie in wait are a new gallery of photos for The Walking Dead season 7. Have a gander at them in full up above, though keep in mind that some images have appeared online in the past; what you’ll find are high-res versions of those duplicates without the watermarks. There is, of course, a lot of focus on Negan, including one particularly striking image of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s glowering nemesis squaring up to a haggard Rick.

Helpless and without much hope, the official synopsis reads as so: “Last season ended with Rick and our group kneeling helplessly before Negan and his group. What Negan does will haunt those who survive forever.”

Kicking things off with the rather foreboding “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be,” The Walking Dead season 7 is booked in to premiere on Sunday, October 23. The journey doesn’t end there, however, now that AMC has locked down plans for an eighth season.
