Promo For The Flash Season 2, Episode 4: “The Fury Of Firestorm”

Following last night's awesome episode of The Flash, The CW has released a first look at next week's instalment of the hit superhero drama. As you've probably already guessed from the title, this one will be focusing on Firestorm, as a critically ill Dr. Stein needs to find a new partner in order to survive.

Following last night’s awesome episode of The Flash, The CW has released a first look at next week’s instalment of the hit superhero drama. As you’ve probably already guessed from the title, this one will be focusing on Firestorm, as a critically ill Dr. Stein needs to find a new partner in order to survive.

That will be Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, a little known character from the comic books who was friends with Ronnie Raymond during his early adventures as a high school student. In The Flash, it doesn’t appear as if he’ll share any ties to the M.I.A. Ronnie (my theory is that he’s on Earth-2), but if this promo is any indication, it looks like he won’t be able to handle the powers of Firestorm all that well, taking a villainous turn as a result.

Here’s the official synopsis for next week’s episode of The Flash courtesy of The CW:

Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team look for another Firestorm match for Dr. Stein (Victor Garber). When the team meets Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (guest star Franz Drameh), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) has her reservations about whether Jax is the right match for Dr. Stein. Iris (Candice Patton) surprises Joe (Jesse L. Martin) while Barry and Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) grow closer.

That doesn’t reveal a whole lot about “The Fury of Firestorm,” though there’s a hint there that Caitlin suspects Jax isn’t a good match from the start. However, don’t go expecting Stein to track down Ronnie or Jason Rusch just yet, as Franz Drameh is set to appear as Firestorm in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

That means he’ll no doubt have seen the error of his ways by the time this episode of The Flash wraps up.
