Last night’s episode of Gotham featured a major twist with The Joker which is sure to shake the Fox series up in a major way moving forward, but it also brought season two’s first story arc to an end. Now, next week’s instalment of the Batman prequel looks set to continue to explore new avenues, specifically with the debut of Michael Chiklis’ Captain Barnes.
Today, the network released a first look at the episode in the promo above, and it contains plenty of intriguing scenes which shed some light on what we should expect from Gotham following the shocking reveal about Jerome’s fate.

Captain Barnes (Michael Chiklis) is called to duty to create a law-abiding task force, with the help of Gordon. Meanwhile, Penguin gets caught up in a favor for Galavan, and Nygma asks Kringle out on a date in the all new Rise of the Villains: Strike Force episode of Gotham airing Monday, October 12th on FOX.
