With season two now underway, Gotham has added Looking star Raul Castillo to the cast as DC Comics villain Eduardo Flamingo. The show has plucked pretty obscure characters from the Batman comic books on a number of occasions in the past, and this guy is no exception. He’ll first appear in episode nine, according to Variety.

The network describes the character as one of Gotham’s most dangerous hitmen. Killing for him isn’t just a job, it’s an art form. Armed with a spiked chain and an appetite for flesh, this rock-a-billy assassin will prove to be one of Detective Jim Gordon’s (Ben McKenzie) trickiest foes.

Flamingo isn’t exactly a Batman villain with a massive fanbase, so Gotham is going to have a lot of creative freedom to do what they want with him. Still, it will be interesting to see how close to the comics they stick in terms of his appearance.

In next week’s Gotham, on the heels of his reinstatement, Gordon is thrust onto the high-profile case tracking the deadly inmate escape from Arkham Asylum. Meanwhile, Galavan plans his next move, while Bruce asks for help from his father’s old friend to unlock the secrets in his office and Nygma asks out Kristin Kringle on a date.
