Rebecca Hall And Benedict Cumberbatch Pair Up For Parade’s End

Rebecca Hall (The Town) and Benedict Cumberbatch (TV’s Sherlock) are teaming up for the World War One miniseries, Parade’s End, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Based on the 1920’s book series by Ford Maddox Ford, the five-part, HBO-BBC produced miniseries tells the story of Christopher Tietjens (Cumberbatch), a soldier in the British Army during World War I. It also focuses on his relationship with his unfaithful wife, Sylvia (Hall) and his relationship with a young suffragette.

Parade’s End will be written by Shakespeare in Love’s Tom Stoppard, directed by Generation Kill’s Susanna White and executive produced by Michele Buck and Damien Timmer. The producers are Selwyn Roberts and David Parfit. Production begins this fall.
